Dorothy Bright
My Mother Dorothy Bright was an excellent medium and psychic. She acquired her gift from her Father who never used his gift in public but passed it on to his daughter Dorothy. Dorothy used it exceptionally well in the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s to help people with their grief due to the 2nd World War. She was known for her proof of spirit and evidence. She never accepted finance for her work. She did however receive sausages from the local butcher as payment for her readings, other gave flowers, plants and chocolates! She passed away in the 90’s
Gwen Legg
Although I had used my gifts before I met Gwen. We met under rather strange circumstances. It was a cold, foggy Saturday night in February but I did manage to drive to the church.
That evening when I arrived Gwen was standing in the door of the church. Apparently the medium had not turned up to do the service. She looked me straight in the eye and said “That’s OK – you can take the service this evening” (Gwen was noted as being one of the best medium in the South East).
I said “No, no Gwen I can’t do that!”, but in the end we came to a compromise. Gwen took the service and I did the clairvoyance. I sat on rostrum and thought to myself, I’m not going to be good enough to work with such a good medium. Whilst sitting there I said to myself “Dad, if you don’t help me now, I’m never going to speak to you again!” (My father passed away in 1961). I did the clairvoyance and Gwen was delighted. I felt proud that spirit has assisted me that evening and the result of all that is that I worked with Gwen and sat in her teaching group. A few years later Gwen became my mother-in-law and she is still working to this day.
